I am a high school teacher and a bodybuilder, and both parts of my life have taught me about growth. I am going into my 15th year of teaching high school English, and my students know me as their teacher first.
Some also know that I compete in bodybuilding.
Football players and wrestlers who have had me in class sometimes ask questions because they want the knowledge. They want to know how much I eat, what I do and how I approach training.
I try to guide them and steer them in the right direction, but I know my limits. I am not a nutritionist. I am not a coach. I just know what I need to do for myself. Being a teacher does not mean pretending you know everything. It means knowing when you can help and continuing to learn yourself.
