Despite all the cosplay I’ve done portraying fierce, warrior-like women from fantastical worlds, my true alter ego is very much of this world — Grace Jones. Her unapologetic boldness, radical style, and defiance of societal norms resonate deeply with me. She wasn’t afraid to provoke, to be different, to own her presence — and that’s something I channel every time I step on stage or into a character.
In a digital world quick to judge and even quicker to shame, where individuality is often dismissed with the ease of a click, she remains a symbol of fearless self-expression. That’s a kind of strength I hold onto — especially as a muscular woman who doesn’t fit neatly into the box of conventional beauty.

When my viral posts draw comments like “Women shouldn’t have that much muscle,” I push back. Why not? Does my body harm you? Are you being forced to watch? Are we in a relationship? If not — then why is my strength a threat?
I carry significant muscle, yes. I challenge outdated beauty ideals, proudly. And I will continue to take up space so young girls can grow up seeing that power, beauty, and confidence come in many forms — all of them valid.
